LEARN THE MACHINE.
UNDERSTAND THE WORK.
An interactive digital learning experience built specifically around excavator training. The machine is in front of you. The lesson is in your phone.
EXPLORE THE EXCAVATOR
Tap any hotspot on the machine or select a component below to understand what it does, why it matters to an operator, and memory rules to remember in the cab.
THE BOOM
Primary Vertical Structural Beam & Hydraulic Lift Geometry
The boom is the large curved structural arm pinned directly to the revolving upperstructure of the excavator. It is fabricated from high-strength reinforced box-section steel.
Powered by two massive dual hydraulic lift cylinders, the boom raises and lowers the entire front work attachment. It provides vertical lift reach and positions the arm and bucket over deep trenches or high haul truck beds.
The boom is the foundation of all digging geometry. Misusing the boom to violently pry boulders or levering against solid bedrock can bend hydraulic cylinder rods or crack main structural pivot welds.
Always think outward from the machine centerline. The Boom provides elevation, the Arm provides pulling force (crowd), and the Bucket provides breakout cutting force.
EXCAVATOR CURRICULUM
12 focused modules built around the physical machine. Short explanations, visual checks, practical cab tips, real job-site scenarios, and operator knowledge checks.
